Die SALTO FOUNDATION hat im Sommer 2025 ihren operativen Betrieb aufgenommen, womit SALTO WECOSYSTEM eine neue Phase seines langjährigen Engagements für gesellschaftliche Verantwortung startet. Ziel ist es, die transformative Kraft des Sports zu nutzen, um weltweit positiven Wandel zu fördern – insbesondere durch Unterstützung benachteiligter Gruppen und Menschen mit Behinderungen.

Mit dem Beginn der Stiftungsarbeit ist auch die neue Website der SALTO FOUNDATION offiziell online gegangen. Sie dient als zentrale Plattform zur Information über Projekte, Aktivitäten und Ziele der Stiftung. Im Mittelpunkt steht der Einsatz für soziale Inklusion sowie die Förderung von nachhaltigem, positivem Wandel durch gezielte Programme und Partnerschaften.

Die SALTO FOUNDATION baut auf über 25 Jahre philanthropischer Aktivitäten innerhalb von SALTO WECOSYSTEM auf, insbesondere auf dem bisherigen Engagement im Rahmen der Initiative Free2Move. Diese hat Mitarbeitende und Anteilseigner des Unternehmens über viele Jahre hinweg in Projekte eingebunden, die sich für Chancengleichheit, Teilhabe und soziale Gerechtigkeit einsetzen. Die neue Stiftung knüpft an diese Tradition an und bringt eine strategische Weiterentwicklung der bisherigen Projekte mit sich.

Im Kern konzentriert sich die SALTO FOUNDATION auf zwei Handlungsfelder: Zugang zu Sport sowie Sport als Motor für Veränderung. In diesem Rahmen erfolgt eine gezielte Unterstützung inklusiver Sportprojekte und Förderung von Para-Athletinnen und -Athleten weltweit – mit dem Ziel, Sichtbarkeit, Teilhabe und Inklusion zu verbessern. Darüber hinaus zielt das Engagement auf die Entwicklung langfristiger, wirkungsorientierter Initiativen ab, die Sport als Instrument für soziale Integration, Empowerment und nachhaltige positive Veränderung in benachteiligten Gemeinschaften nutzen.

Die SALTO FOUNDATION versteht sich als Impulsgeberin. Das Hauptaugenmerk legt sie dabei auf nachhaltige Finanzierungskonzepte, strategische Partnerschaften und konkrete, messbare Ergebnisse in den unterstützten Projekten – weit über klassische Spendenmodelle hinaus.

«Ich bin begeistert, am Aufbau der SALTO FOUNDATION mitwirken zu können, was ein lang gehegter Traum und zugleich ein neues Abenteuer ist. Wir glauben fest daran, positive Veränderungen zu bewirken und Menschen zu bestärken, die sich für eine bessere Gesellschaft einsetzen», sagt Javier Roquero, Mitgründer und langjähriger CEO von Salto sowie Vorsitzender der SALTO FOUNDATION.
