Ein solches «Tiny House» wird an der Swissbau zu sehen sein.

Das Projekt «Tiny House» zeigt beispielhaft, welch grosses Potenzial in der Bauweise mit Holz steckt. Neue Wohnformen, Aufstockungen, kleine Grundstücke und Verknappung von Ressourcen – das Minihaus von Holzbau Schweiz greift diese Herausforderungen auf ­– Natürlich in Holz. Umweltfreundlich, flexibel und günstig. Dies sind Argumente, welche, neben einem ausgeglichenen und angenehmen Wohnklima, für den nachwachsenden Baustoff sprechen.

Die Projektvorlage für das Minihaus entstand in einem begleiteten Studenten-Architekturwettbewerb an der Berner Fachhochschule (BFH) in Burgdorf im Rahmen einer Semesterarbeit. Für die Ausführung wurde das Projekt «Porch» der Architekturstudentinnen Antonella Carfi & Sela Farner ausgewählt. Die Ausführungsplanung und Realisation erfolgten durch die S. Müller Holzbau AG aus Wil.

Der kompakte Zwei-Personen-Haushalt wurde in nur drei Tagen bereits an der Messe HOLZ in der Messehalle in Basel aufgebaut. Das eingespielte Team von Projektleiter und Handwerkern ermöglichte die Einhaltung des straffen Zeitplans. Eine vorausschauende Planung und eine präzise Ausführung der vorfabrizierten Elemente waren die Voraussetzungen.

Nach der Messe erfolgt der Wiederaufbau des Kleinhauses an seinem definitiven Standort in Bazenheid (SG). Die Gegebenheiten der kleinen Bauparzelle waren wichtige Rahmenbedingungen für die beiden Architektinnen. Das Baugesuch für das Projekt wurde bewilligt und interessierte Käufer warten bereits auf den Umzug des Gebäudes.

Die nachwachsende und in der Schweiz traditionell nachhaltig bewirtschaftete Ressource Holz verstärkt zu nutzen, ist ein sinnvoller Weg, um den Gebäudepark Schweiz zukunftsgerecht zu erneuern. Denn Bauen mit Holz entlastet das Klima. Mit dem verwendeten Holz des Kleinhauses wurden 26 Tonnen CO₂ gebunden. Damit leisten die zukünftigen Bewohner ihren ganz persönlichen Beitrag zur Erreichung der Klimaziele. Wer Schweizer Holz braucht, hilft unmittelbar mit, dem Treibhauseffekt entgegenzutreten. Das ist im 21. Jahrhundert ein zentrales Argument für den nachwachsenden Rohstoff.

Das Kleinhaus ist zertifiziert mit den Labeln «Schweizer Holz» und «CO₂-Institut».
