Beim Familienunternehmen sind heute neuste Technologien und Methoden im Einsatz. Dazu gehört ein modernster Maschinenpark, 3D-Konstruktionen oder Lean-Management in der Montage. Seit 2022 setzt Moritz Müssig Energiebewusstsein und Nachhaltigkeit ganz oben auf seine Agenda und entwickelte das weltweit erste Leichtbaugeländer aus Hohlprofil. Die Müssig- Leichtbaugeländer «MLB» sind die ressourcenschonende Alternative zum herkömmlichen Vollstahlgeländer. Als Wilhelm Josef Müssig im Jahre 1873 eine Schlosserei in Stuttgart gründete, ahnte er wohl noch nicht, wie gross die Müssig AG einmal wird. Heute, 150 Jahre später, zählt das Unternehmen rund 150 Mitarbeitende und macht jährlich an die 30 Millionen Schweizer Franken Umsatz. Geändert hat sich auch die Kernkompetenz und der Firmenstandort: Seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg ist die Müssig AG auf Geländer spezialisiert. Vor rund 30 Jahren verlegte der damalige CEO Eberhard Wilhelm Müssig den Sitz nach Amriswil im Kanton Thurgau, um das interessante Marktumfeld in der Schweiz besser bearbeiten zu können.
