Der neu eröffnete Standort des Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area richtet sich an Startups und etablierte Firmen aus den Bereichen digitale Gesundheit und personalisierte Medizin. Ziel ist, Nähe zu schaffen zwischen den Startups und den Wissenschaftlern von Novartis und somit neue Formen des Austauschs, der Kollaboration und der Innovation zu begünstigen. Das Angebot stösst auf grosses Interesse. Bereits haben sich acht Unternehmen im Innovationspark angesiedelt.
Der Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area bietet an seinem neuen Standort eine moderne Arbeitsumgebung mit 30 fixen und 12 flexiblen Arbeitsplätzen. Die Fläche von rund 580 Quadratmetern beinhaltet einen Hauptraum mit Küche, Lounge und Innovation Space sowie einen Workshopraum und ein abgetrenntes Büro. Das Interesse an diesem Angebot ist gross, denn bereits haben acht Unternehmen ihren Sitz in den Innovationspark auf dem Novartis Campus verlegt. So sagt Sebastian Mathias Keller, CEO und Mitbegründer von Rekonas Medical: «Für uns ist die Nähe zu Novartis von grossem Interesse, weil wir im Bereich Neurologie Software bereitstellen, die sowohl im Klinikalltag wie auch bei der Erprobung neuer Medikamente eingesetzt werden kann. Mit Mitarbeitenden von Novartis konnten wir bereits interessante Gespräche über Projekte und Zusammenarbeitsmöglichkeiten führen. Auch mit anderen Firmen im Innovationspark findet ein reger Austausch statt.»
