2024 würdigt der Prix Lignum zum 6. Mal die besten Schweizer Leistungen mit Holz. Projekte können vom 1. Dezember 2023 bis zum 29. Februar 2024 online unter www.prixlignum.ch für den Wettbewerb eingereicht werden, neu in zwei Kategorien: «Holzbauten» und «Schreinerarbeiten».
Holz wächst in der «Solarfabrik» Wald. Holz in Gebäuden und Möbeln zu verwenden, hilft dem Klima: denn es speichert das Treibhausgas CO2. In Holz steckt auch nur ein Minimum an grauer Energie aus Ernte und Verarbeitung. Für das Schweizer Netto-null-Klimaziel bringt das Material damit ideale Voraussetzungen mit. Rückbaubare und kreislauffähige Konstruktionen sind für den Holzbau ein vielversprechendes Zukunftsfeld. In Holz entsteht aber auch hohe Schweizer Baukultur, die innen wie aussen besticht.
Der Prix Lignum zeichnet seit 2009 im Dreijahresrhythmus den innovativen, hochwertigen und zukunftsweisenden Einsatz von Holz in Bauwerken, im Innenausbau, bei Möbeln und künstlerischen Arbeiten aus. Träger dieses renommierten Wettbewerbs sind Lignum, Holzwirtschaft Schweiz, der Aktionsplan Holz des Bundesamtes für Umwelt BAFU, der Verband Holzbau Schweiz und der Verband Schweizerischer Schreinermeister und Möbelfabrikanten VSSM.
Preise
In fünf Grossregionen der Schweiz werden in der Kategorie «Holzbauten» und in der Kategorie «Schreinerarbeiten» von einer unabhängigen regionalen Jury maximal je fünf Preise vergeben. Die Preise sind alle gleichrangig und nicht dotiert. Unter den Preisträgern in den Regionen vergibt eine nationale Jury pro Kategorie drei nationale Preise für die Besten der Schweiz: Gold, Silber und Bronze. Zusätzlich schreibt der Prix Lignum zum ersten Mal einen Publikumsfavoriten aus. Pro Kategorie «Holzbauten» und pro Kategorie «Schreinerarbeiten» kann die Öffentlichkeit für ihr Lieblingsprojekt online ihre Stimme abgeben.
Breit abgestützte Jury
Die Jurymitglieder kommen aus den Branchen Architektur, Innenarchitektur, Holzbau, Ingenieurwesen, Schreinerei, Kunst und Design. Als Jurypräsident und ständiges Jurymitglied amtiert Architekt Marc Angélil.
Zweites ständiges Jurymitglied ist Andres Herzog, Architekt und Redaktor der Zeitschrift Hochparterre. Mitglieder der nationalen Jury sind: Patrick Gartmann, Ferrari Gartmann AG, Anita Luginbühl, VSSM, Michael Meuter, Lignum, Ludovica Molo, studio we architetti, Barbara Schuler-Rozzi, B. und H. Schuler Rozzi Schreinerei, Laurent Schuwey, Chalet Schuwey AG, Hansjörg Steiner, Holzbau Schweiz, und Regula Trachsel, n11 Bauingenieure GmbH.
Preisverleihung 2024
Die nationale Preisverleihung findet am 19. September 2024 um 13.30 Uhr in Bern statt, die regionalen Preisverleihungen folgen am 20. September 2024 um 17 Uhr. Anschliessend werden Wanderausstellungen über den Prix Lignum die in Wort und Bild gefassten Arbeiten der Öffentlichkeit in allen Landesteilen vorstellen. Die im Wettbewerb ausgezeichneten Arbei-ten aus allen Regionen werden in einem umfangreichen, dreisprachigen Themenheft der Architekturzeitschrift «Hochparterre» publiziert.
Teilnahmebedingungen und Anmeldung
Realisierte Arbeiten können von Architektinnen und Architekten, Projektierenden (z.B. Ingenieur- und Planungsbüros), Kunstschaffenden, Schreinereien, Holzbauunternehmen und weiteren ausführenden Personen oder Unternehmen sowie von Bauherrschaften und Auftraggeberinnen und Auftraggebern eingereicht werden. Dabei dürfen nur Objekte und Arbeiten angemeldet werden, welche zwischen dem 1. Januar 2020 und dem 29. Februar 2024 fertiggestellt wurden. Zugelassen ist das ganze Spektrum möglicher Holzanwendungen: Bauwerke (Architektur- und Ingenieurwerke), Innenausbauten, Möbel, Kunst, Holzgeräte und ideelle Auseinandersetzungen mit Holz. Nicht zugelassen sind Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte sowie Arbeiten bezüglich Organisationsformen in der Holzbranche.
Die Anmeldung zur Teilnahme und die digitale Eingabe der Projekte er-folgen ausschliesslich online auf der Website www.prixlignum.ch. Dort finden sich auch ausführliche Informationen zum Wettbewerb, zu den Teilnahmebedingungen und zur Zusammensetzung der regionalen Jurys.
