Und sie stemmen sich gegen das aktuell aufgrund der Vorsichtsmassnahmen verhaltene Interesse der Arbeitswelt an ihren Fähigkeiten. Jetzt geben sie Gegensteuer und viele lassen sich jetzt weiterbilden im Umgang mit digitalen Tools. Sind die «Digitalen Dinos» von einst bald die «Digi-Nerds» der Zukunft?
Die «Silver Society» ist im Aufwind. Das ist auch die Bestandesaufnahme der meisten Zukunftsinstitute, welche «Silver Society» sogar als Megatrend einstufen. Die Berufsleute über 50 und Seniorinnen und Senioren haben nämlich ein sehr umfassendes Wissen und sehen globale strategische Zusammenhänge, die sie auch in einem Kontext erfassen und damit richtige Rückschlüsse sowie Strategien ziehen können. Das wird in der Arbeitswelt der Zukunft immer wichtiger – je digitalisierter sie wird, desto mehr. Viele von ihnen sind zudem auch prädestiniert für eine Rolle als Betriebliche Mentorinnen/Mentore.
Die Lernmotivation für den Umgang mit modernen Arbeitstools ist gross
Der Hunger nach digitaler Weiterbildung, nach einem professionellen Umgang mit virtuellen Wissenstransfermethoden und nach praxisorientiertem Support für Webinare ist derzeit riesig bei dieser Zielgruppe und vielen Schweizer Seniorinnen und Senioren. Das bestätigt auch der Basler Unternehmer Alexis Weil, CEO und Mitbegründer von seniors@work. Das Unternehmen, welches auch schon beim TV-Format «Die Höhle der Löwen» begeistern konnte, vermittelt tausendfach das Fachwissen von Seniorinnen und Senioren an KMU und StartUps, zuweilen auch an grössere Firmen. «Speziell in dieser Coronavirus-Krisenzeit wollen unsere Mitglieder nicht als das schwache Glied der Gesellschaft gelten, welches es nun vornehmlich zu beschützen ist. Sie wollen nach dem Motto ‚Jetzt erst recht‘ zukunftsgerichtet gegensteuern und ihre Dienste im Social Distancing Zeitalter auch digital mittels virtuellen Mitteln und modernen Tools machen.»
Fast 70 Prozent wollen digital fit werden – und zwar rasch
Wo in der Vergangenheit der Ruhestand das Ende der Arbeit bedeutete, zeigen Studien nämlich heute, dass die Mehrheit der Menschen nach ihrer Pensionierung weiterarbeiten möchte – oft auf eine völlig neue und andere Weise. Für viele Arbeitgeber ist dies eine wunderbare Gelegenheit, bisher ungenutzte Ressourcen bei Seniorinnen und Senioren zu nutzen. So bietet seniors@work die Möglichkeit, das Wissen und die Erfahrung der SeniorInnen in unserer Gesellschaft zu erhalten. Damit soll auch der generationsübergreifenden Austausch gefördert werden und man kann so auch einen gesellschaftlichen Auftrag verfolgen. Zunächst aber, muss sicher gestellt werden, dass man mit den modernen Tools der Arbeitswelt gut umgehen kann. Alexis Weil und sein Team haben in den letzten Wochen eine beteiligungsstarke Umfrage in Auftrag gegeben und die Resultate sind eindeutig:
Bei der Frage, ob die «Seniors» neben der Jobvermittlung auch neue Angebote bei seniors@work nutzen wollen wie beispielsweise sozialer Austausch, digitale Weiterbildung, Bewegung und Sport, haben über 40 Prozent mit einem klaren Ja geantwortet. Fast 30 Prozent antworteten «Ja, aber mein Fokus bleibt auf der Jobvermittlung.» Noch deutlicher ist der Hunger nach digitaler Weiterbildung: 65 Prozent sind sehr interessiert. Bei der Frage: «Welche Themen im Bereich „Weiterbildung“ würden Sie interessieren?» waren die häufigsten Antworten «Online Schulung zum Umgang mit digitalen Tools» (68.5%), «Online Schulung zu fachlichen Fähigkeiten» (52%) und generell «Online Schulung zu persönlichen Fähigkeiten» (26%). Es fiel auch deutlich auf, dass die Zielgruppe keinerlei Berührungsängste mit Webinaren hat und sich darin professionalisieren möchte.
Senioren ab 60 Jahren wollen ihr neu erworbenes Wissen sofort nutzen
«Diesen Trend stellen auch wir fest», sagt Daniel Herzog, CEO der Lernwerksatt Olten. Diese hat sich in den letzten Jahren und besonders in den letzten Monaten als eine derjenigen Weiterbildungsinstitute herausgestellt, die in der Schweiz am effizientesten und am konsequentesten ihren Unterricht virtuell lückenlos weiterführen und zudem noch neue Weiterbildungsangebote in diese Richtung konzipieren konnte. Herzog: «Mit dem SVEB-Weiterbildungszertifikat ‚Lernprozesse digital unterstützen‘ und den Angeboten im Bereich ‚Digital Training‘ haben wir erfolgreiche Kurse lanciert, welche die Bedürfnisse der Digitalen Weiterbildung voll bedienen. In Zeiten, wo modernes Workplace Learning Hochkonjunktur hat und alle versuchen, sich für die neuen Arbeitswelten optimal aufzustellen, ist die Digitale Weiterbildung von enormer Bedeutung. Ebenfalls sehr gefragt ist heuer das Angebot www.live-webinare.ch . Für Seniorinnen und Senioren ab 60 Jahren sind jedoch eher die kürzeren Weiterbildungen interessant, da sie schnell ihr neu erworbenes Wissen nutzen wollen. Daher sind sie besonders an Ausbilder- und Coach-Seminaren und Webinar-Seminaren interessiert.»
Bei den angelsächsischen Marketingfachleuten und Trend-/Marktforschern heisst es «The Trend is Your Friend». Und das haben natürlich auch die Seniorinnen und Senioren erkannt, die sich nicht an den Rand der arbeitenden und aktiven Gesellschaft drängen lassen wollen. Und erst recht nicht von einem unerwünschten Virusausbruch. «Wir sind keine Digitalen Dinosauarier mehr – das sollen alle wissen», sagen viele und agieren nach dem einst so grandiosen Werbeslogan aus den 70er und 80er Jahren eines grossen Mineralölkonzerns: «Es gibt viel zu tun – packen wir es an!»
